Robert Bosch and his company have received many honors and certificates in recognition of their outstanding services. Historical Communications has a collection of around 140 certificates.
These include the letter of honorary citizenship received by Robert Bosch from the city of Stuttgart. The City of Stuttgart gave Robert Bosch the freedom of the city in 1917. However, the First World War and Robert Bosch’s aversion for public honors prevented the award of the certificate. The city of Stuttgart therefore had a new letter of honorary citizenship produced in 1931, which it awarded to him on his 70th birthday.
