The oldest photo of Robert Bosch is only available as a later copy and shows the portrait of the ten year old Robert together with his younger sister Maria in 1871. This is the first of many portraits of the company founder spanning the years until shortly before his death in 1942.
The photo collection primarily contains pictures of Bosch sites and plants, those of its subsidiaries, and the Bosch after-sales service team.

Bosch Magneto Co., New York 1906

Pictures of production, the research laboratories or management provide insights into different working environments and the changes that have taken place over the decades. Machine and assembly line work in the past and present is portrayed, for example, as well as open-plan offices.

Traditional product shots and advertising images such as billboards or Bosch neon signs make up another considerable part of this collection. However, it also includes topics such as the training and further development of apprentices and associates at Bosch and social facilities such as canteens, occupational safety facilities and work trips.
