Born in Burghausen in 1956, Stefan Asenkerschbaumer is married and has two children. After a commercial apprenticeship and military service, he was awarded a degree in business education at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1982, and a further degree in business administration in 1984. These degrees were followed by a PhD on the subject of innovation management in companies.
