Energy Storage and Conversion

Major challenges such as global climate change or dwindling fossil energy reserves motivate Bosch to develop sustainable solutions based on regenerative electric power. The main focus of our work at the Corporate Sector Research and Advance Engineering is on developing powerful electric energy converters for electric motors, storage technology and power electronics.

We are opening up new drive solutions for vehicles while continuing to work intensively on reducing emissions and fuel consumption by conventional vehicles. Bosch is making a major contribution to one of the most important current energy sources – wind power: Our research and advance engineering spending leads to increasingly efficient transmissions and drivetrain systems, helping to drive wind turbines all over the world.
