Embedded systems in which information technology and the product are merged enable them to do so. We create intelligent products by developing multicore technologies and cognitive software-intensive systems. Sensors serve as the interface between IT and the real world in after-treatment of exhaust gases, consumer and medical technology and video, ultrasonic and microwave technology. Our innovations, for example, increase road safety in public traffic areas and optimise room climate in buildings in a way that conserves resources.
