How Bosch associates are helping people from Ukraine

People around the world are deeply moved by the terrible human suffering in Ukraine.

Helping and supporting people affected remains the top priority at Bosch. We are working to keep our local associates and their families safe and to offer them help wherever possible. Dedicated hotlines have been set up in Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary to help people who have fled Ukraine. In addition, where possible Bosch provides displaced associates and their families with work at Bosch locations in the countries they have fled to.

Our position is clear: War can never be the answer to political conflict.

Bosch associates from countries all over the world are helping to provide relief — by offering shelter, by donating, or by helping at the frontier. For example, associates from the plant in Blaj, Romania, prepare packages with donated products for refugees. Colleagues from Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Slovakia travel to the border region with donations and offer to drive refugees to safe places. Associates at Saint-Ouen, France, and Worcester, United Kingdom, collect donations for Ukrainian refugees. Among the items so far are medicine, food and hygiene products for children and adults.

“The dedication and generosity of our associates is a source of great pride.”
Filiz Albrecht, Member of the Board of Management and Director of Industrial Relations

A special support team known as “the buddies” has been set up by Bosch associates in Poland. The team members meet Bosch colleagues who have fled Ukraine with their families and help them find psychological support, make contact with authorities, and obtain legal advice.

Bosch is also supporting humanitarian aid in the region with generous donations e.g. to the German Red Cross.
