Unlocking potential through diversity initiatives worldwide
Associates from 150 nations collaborate at Bosch. They develop software, construct machinery, conduct research, organize supply chains, and work with customers worldwide. Across this wide spectrum of activities, they are united by a diversity of perspectives and a shared commitment to creating solutions.
Diversity manifests itself not just in numbers, but primarily in daily interactions through different life paths, ways of thinking, and individual talents. When people from various backgrounds collaborate, new momentum is generated and better ideas emerge. For this reason, Bosch is committed to cultivating a work environment across the globe where all associates can unfold their potential and feel a sense of belonging. A corporate culture focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is the foundation for innovation, collaboration, and long-term success.
Bosch pursues shared global vision for DEI. At the same time, its regions set different priorities, tailored to the topics that are most relevant to their local associates and markets. This approach gives rise to various initiatives worldwide, ranging from associate networks and mentoring programs to measures for greater accessibility and local projects that foster better inclusion and collaboration.
Examples from the Bosch regions
Established in 2025, the “Japan Connection” is a new associate network. It aims to foster intercultural dialogue and knowledge sharing, particularly on topics related to career development in Japan. The result is a stronger sense of belonging, with an impact reaching well beyond the Asia-Pacific region.
Last year, the DEI team in Latin America sponsored a pilot project for sign language interpretation. For three months, associates with hearing impairments could access remote interpreters for important meetings. Following its great success in Campinas in Brazil, the solution was permanently rolled out for the entire region. In this way, the project makes an important contribution to the inclusion of employees with diverse physical and mental abilities.
To strengthen high performance culture, collaboration and team spirit, BSH Home Appliances organized the “BSH Culture Week.” The global initiative offered hybrid event formats in all BSH countries and regions, combining online sessions with on-site activities which encouraged personal exchange. Among other things, the event contributed to a greater sense of belonging.
